While Republicans continue their fight to repeal the Affordable Care Act, hospitals and insurers are moving ahead with a lot of changes that affect us, the patients.  We at Healthcare Savvy are planning an event, or maybe two or three, to help you understand what these changes can mean for you. But first we’d like to know- What are your questions? What do you want to talk about?

Here are some ideas we’re tossing around for our first meetup:

How can mobile phone apps help you improve your health?
How do you decide which hospitals have the best quality care?
Cooking tips for diabetics
How do global payments work?

The HC Savvy network is built on the idea that if we become more educated about our options as patients, we can get the best health care. These meetings will be based on what you want to know to be a more educated health care consumer. So post your suggestions and ideas here, or send them to healthcaresavvy@wbur.org.

When Healthcare Savvy started in 2011, it was a place for people to field their questions and share their experiences with rising health care costs. Now we’re branching out to include the total patient experience. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @hcsavvy to be on top of the latest posts or trending articles. Or check out our page on Facebook!

Looking forward to meeting you in person!
